Story Summary:
In the year 2019, a Canadian scientist named Professor Manuel Smith created the very first instant cloning machine. He used his own DNA to test the machine and when it was proven that the invention worked, the success was announced world wide. He made a speech about the reason behind inventing the Cloning Machine. A few weeks after Smith’s speech, he made a request that people all over the world would donate their DNA for future use. A surprising 18, 298,343, 881 DNA have been sent to Smith’s lab.

In the year 2089, a deadly airborne virus called the “Thalel Sedias Virus” had spread all over the Earth, killing numerous life forms. Survivors from every country were taken to an underground shelter where they were taken care of by different scientists and doctors.
After two years of hiding, the survivors built a small city which they named “Dothmee”. It was surrounded by huge walls to protect them from the outside world. It took around ten years to build.

When everything was all set, the scientists used Smith’s invention – which was well-taken cared of – and cloned their remaining DNA. Some of the DNA they kept got contaminated by the “Thalel Sedias Virus” and from the 18, 298, 343, 881 DNA; they were only left with 902, 728 DNA now. The scientists used these remaining specimens in order to clone the inhabitants of Dothmee.

In Dothmee, the Dothmeons started having leaders and called them either King or Queen. This ruler (it’s always a single ruler) lives in the “Tower of Memories” in the center of Dothmee and the past memories of a clone are kept here.
Eighteen years later, a new Queen ruled over the Kingdom. Queen Rea was a kind and brilliant ruler yet very law-bound for she was very strict and serious with the laws made in Dothmee years ago.

It was against the law in this city for childbirth because the officials were worried about the population of Dothmee. Even though these clones were ‘robotic’ in physical abilities, they still had a human lifestyle which they follow. Every 80 years, all the clones are shut down and new ones are ‘born’. The memories of the past clones are stored in the “Tower of Memories.
One day, the crime of childbirth was committed. When a man and a woman are married in Dothmee, the do not make their own children. Instead, they adopt a child at the orphanage. But there was this couple who had an ‘accidental lovemaking’ and gave birth to a male child. Queen Rea disliked the thought but had the parents executed. These two will still return when their clones are born when the 80 years are over.

As for the child, it lived alone in an abandoned orphanage until it grew up into a young man. He held a grudge against the Queen for killing his parents. He did not eat since his ‘robotic’ side was more dominant than his human side. He also took up the name “Unthameend” which means ‘unnamed.’

In the year 2149, thirty years after Unthameend was born, he already had followers who wanted to take down the Queen. When Queen Rea was reciting a speech outside the Tower of Memories, she was shot by a “Scowr Borwaro” – a very lethal and poisonous type of arrow. The Queen’s four protectors rushed to her aid but it was too late. Queen Rea died instantly.

[Okay, I will stop here. This story summary only tells you the prologue in the story. If you want to know the whole story...either e-mail me or just wait 'til I post the finished novel here. Or if you want, wait until the book is published. :P]

[I have re-typed this draft on Microsoft Word. The original draft is found within a black notebook I own...^_^...]

What Is A Story-Draft?

If you are planning to make a draft of your story, I'll share with you what I usually do at this stage.

Step One:

Create A Title

Well, this is what I always do whenever I make my own story-draft. If you're having difficulty in coming up with one, don't worry! You can always think of the title when you have finished writing the whole summary.

*Note: The title should be related to your story. Do not make a title which does not describe the events and the story line.

*Tip: Try thinking about the main object/ event in the story. "What is your story really about?"

Step Two:

Setting and Characters

Before you pen down the rough-draft, think first about the setting and characters. This is very important because it will help you and the reader know where the story took place and who the characters are.

*Tip: The setting --the place and time the story took place-- doesn't necessarily have to be a real location. You can make up your own -- you can receive points for your creativity.

Step Three:

Writing the Story Summary

At this point, you must use all your creative skills and imagination. Set your mind free but be sure to write the events of the story by sequence.

Try your best to write the summary in a short yet detailed way.

It's still okay if you wrote a very long, descriptive summary -- as long as you have the correct sequence of events. Besides, you're the only one who can read the summary. [It gives a nice effect if you surprise your readers with what will happen when you finish your book!]

Step Four:

Character Information

You don't really have to do this but it might help in a way.

Describe your character. Give details about their life, their significance in the story and their appearance -- how they should look in the story.

Give brief details that might be important in the story and what you want the reader to read.

My List of Novels

Hello, once again....:D

For this post, I will share with you the novels I am planning to write [*Note: There are more than 10 novels listed so the whole process of completing the whole list might take long]

Anyway, here it is:

“Futuristic-like” – 3
Glass World
Glass World II
The Prophecy

Kids/Teens – 2
The Princess and the Pulubi
Friend or Foe

Mythological Creatures – 13

Science Fiction – 3

Suspense – 2

Stranded

This is the only present list that I have right now ---meaning, in time, I might still add more stories here. Oh, yeah, this is only my listing for my novels. The short stories that I've talked about before will be in a different list. :)

As part of my writing hobby, I plan to write the 'story-drafts' of each novel before I actually start making a whole novel. This is done so I will not forget the events that'll happen in the story.

So far, I have finished writing a draft for my first novel - "The Prophecy".
I am currently working on one of the novels in the same category: "Glass World"

Wish Me Luck!

Tips on Writing Stories/ Novels

In this step-by-step guide, this will help you:

  1. Write an effective and interesting story
  2. Receive good grades in English classes when it comes to stuff like this
  3. Enhance your writing skills

Part One:

Choose a Topic

This is the most important part in writing something--whether short stories, novels, essays etc. You must decide on what to write about. It shouldn't really be hard since your using your own mind and creativeness. Just pick some of your interests and make up a story about it.

Brainstorm Your Ideas

Once you've come up with an idea, start writing down your ideas. Pick out the important elements that will be useful in the story.

The important question in the process of brainstorming is this: What is the story about?

Also, choose on how what perspective your story should be written. There are three options to choose from:

  • First-Person Point of View
  • Third-Person Point of View[Limited]
  • Third-Person Point of View[All-Knowing]

This may be a little time-consuming to do since you will have to do a lot of thinking. But I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it!

What's Your Goal?

Well, of course there's always a reason why something was written. What's Yours?

Stories could be written to inspire others, entertain, express your feelings about something, opinions, and many others. Your reason could be confidential---you know, might be too personal---or you can tell your friends and fans!...hehe

Part Two:

Make Your Plot Summary

This is the easiest part to do---for me anyway. Write the events [by sequence: start, middle, end] that will happen in the story.

Try to write it briefly but with detail. For my first novel: "The Prophecy"...I have already made my draft---summary only----it reached twelve pages! It only became that long because of too many detail. ;)

Identify the Elements

There are five main elements in every story.

  • Theme
  • Setting
  • Point of View
  • Characters
  • Plot

No story will be complete without these five. If a work is missing at least one of these elements, then it will not be counted as a story anymore.

Part Three:

Prepare Yourself

In this part, you are in what we call 'rough draft'. Give yourself a couple of minutes to rearrange your thoughts before the actual writing. Think about the events in your story: " What will happen in the story? How will this event happen? When will it happen?

Begin Writing

This is the climax in the process of writing---the actual writing of your work! It's common for people to have a writer's block---probably because of too much excitement or anxeity.

Keep calm! Let your mind flow freely as you write. Always keep in mind the sequence of events in your story. At this point, it doesn't matter about the grammatical and spelling error because you're only starting the whole writing process.

Keep the Elements in Mind

Make sure you pay attention to what you write. Yeah, it is the only a rough draft but the elements should always be there.

Make sure that the reader will understand the things you will write and not be left confused.

Part Four:

Rewriting

When you are done with your rough draft, go over it again and rewrite it.

This process is important because it helps you go over your own mistakes.

In this part, you can add and delete some statements in your work.

Part Five:

Final Draft

Once you've finished the rough draft and the rewriting process, do a final run check on the whole story. Check the spelling, grammar and punctuation. Check the sequence of events. Check the effectiveness of the five elements.

After all this, get a second opinion from a friend. He/she can give you some pointers where you need some changes.

Now, if you're all done with everything, you can choose to publish your story!

.....Have fun writing.....
